Hello Future Comfy Coconut Family! I’m Dominique DeMoss, a passionate educator and certified school counselor and dyslexia interventionist with extensive experience supporting children, teens, and young adults in both academic and social-emotional growth.

I am certified elementary teacher with over 9 years of classroom experience, which allows me to blend classroom expertise with counseling strategies to meet students exactly where they are and help them thrive.

At Comfy Coconut, I provide personalized, strength-based support designed to build confidence, close learning gaps, and reduce school-related stress for families. My approach is warm, practical, and intentional, rooted in the belief that every child can succeed with the right tools, encouragement, and guidance.

Services I Provide:

  • Academic Tutoring & Support – One-on-one tutoring for elementary through high school students, focused on reading, math, writing, homework help, and concept mastery.

  • Dyslexia Reading Intervention- One- on- one personalized structured literacy support, grounded in evidence based dyslexia intervention strategies.

  • Executive Functioning & Learning Skills Coaching – Supporting students with organization, time management, study skills, planning, focus, and follow-through.

  • Homework Coaching & Motivation Support – Helping students build routines, increase confidence, and develop healthy learning habits that ease stress at home and school.

  • Strength-Based School Counseling Support – Guidance for academic anxiety, social challenges, goal-setting, and emotional confidence building.

  • Teacher Consultations – Collaborative support for educators through strategy sharing, student interventions, classroom recommendations, and individualized academic or behavioral planning to better support student success.
